How I Stay Motivated to Keep Showing Up Online

TL;DR – How I Keep Going:

Mission over metrics: My purpose is to position overlooked experts where they belong—in the spotlight.

Legacy over likes: I show up for the long-term impact, not short-term applause.

System over emotion: I rely on structured workflows that beat motivation alone.

Let’s be honest—showing up online consistently can be exhausting. Especially when you’re 45+, holding deep expertise, and feeling overshadowed by younger influencers armed with filters and flashy trends. I get it. I’ve been there.

Despite my doctorate, my decades of leadership experience, and a TV network that airs on Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV – I still have to earn attention like everyone else. Authority isn’t claimed. It’s conferred. And that means I must keep showing up, especially online, where today’s spotlight is earned through consistent visibility.

So, how do I stay motivated? Let me share what keeps me moving:

🔁 1. I’m Building a Legacy, Not Just a Brand

At 58, I’m not here to impress anyone—I’m here to impact. Every video I publish, every article I write, and every guest I interview on PSI TV contributes to a legacy my children can inherit and be proud of. That vision of legacy lights a fire in me when motivation is low.

🔍 2. I Focus on Influence, Not Popularity

My content is for those with mastery, not for trends. The experts who come to PSI TV may not go viral, but they go visible, especially with the right platform. I stay motivated because I’m on a mission to help others 45+ break out of digital invisibility and finally be found, followed, and favored.

🎯 3. I Track the Ripple, Not Just the Wave

Sometimes, you don’t get many likes or comments, but someone walks up to you at an event and says, “I saw that video. It changed how I see myself.” That’s my fuel. Quiet ripples are often more potent than viral waves.

🧠 4. I Treat Motivation Like a System, Not a Mood

I have a system:

  • Batch-record content when I’m in flow
  • Schedule posts so I’m consistent even on off days
  • Repurpose interviews, blogs, and insights across platforms
This way, I stay in motion even when motivation wanes.

🎥 5. I Made My Platform Part of My Purpose

PSI TV isn’t just a media company—it’s my ministry of visibility. I genuinely believe your age is no reason you should not have every chance to be relevant, respected, and rewarded in this digital era. That conviction keeps me posting, publishing, and pushing forward—whether the algorithm is friendly or not.
